Joe Rex Bledsoe
February 19, 1934 – February 13, 2021
Joe Rex Bledsoe passed away February 13,2021 in Amarillo surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on February 19,1934 in Amarillo to Monroe and Gladys Bledsoe. He met and married the love of his life Glenda and they spent 65 wonderful years together. He was a hard working man who adored his family. He worked for Rock Island Railroad for 5 years. Then he worked for Hugh Bledsoe Cement Contractor for 35 years. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He and Glenda volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 14 years. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a loving, kind, and giving man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, a sister Delorse Thurston , a brother Hugh Bledsoe and a grandson Chad Bledsoe.
He is survived by his wife Glenda, his children; Perry Bledsoe and wife Peggy, Steve Bledsoe and wife Holly, Larry Bledsoe and wife Lisa, and Tom Bledsoe and girlfriend Lisa. Grandchildren; Joshua Craig Bledsoe, Brad Bledsoe and wife Jayme, Angel Hughes and husband Danny, Genifer Schuster and husband T.J., Dustin Carver and wife Brandi, Cassy Duncan and husband Austin, and Cory Bledsoe. Great grandchildren; Aubrey, Evie, Ashton, Barrick, Aiden, Corbin, Rylee, Jaxson, Stephanie, Baylee, and Brooklyn.
