Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Regi Fowler of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Mr. Fisher was born Feb. 15, 1936, in Springfield, Mo., to Homer and Mammie Fisher. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1959.
After being discharged from the Army, he moved to Amarillo and went to work for Ideal Paint & Body for 32 years. He continued in the paint and body business until his retirement in 2001.
One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; four sisters; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include a son, Robert Fisher of Amarillo; a daughter, Ronda Fisher of Amarillo; two brothers, Robert Fisher and Lyle Fisher, both of Springfield; two sisters, Barbara Sue Daughtery and Freda Martin, both of Springfield; four grandchildren, Justin Fisher, Alan Fisher, Chase Robone and Nicole Fisher; four great-grandchildren; and his best friend, Arleta Fisher of Amarillo.
