John Heiselman

John Louis Heiselman passed from this world April 17, 2021. He was born on December 8, 1932 in Deaf Smith, County, Texas to John F. Heiselman and Teresa Huckart Heiselman.

John was a veteran, joining the US Army and serving in the Korean War from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1956. In 1958, John married Rosemary Gerber in Amarillo. They remained happily married for 62 years. They had three children: Cathy, Laurie and Mike.

They farmed in Death Smith County and later moved to Amarillo in 1966, where John worked as a welder for ARARCO and retired in 1999 John took pride in all he did, no matter how large or how small the task he was meticulous in the completion. He was a devout Catholic until his death. His faith was a great source of comfort and joy to him throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents: John F. Heiselman and Teresa Heiselman and his daughter Laurie Ann.

He is survived by his loving wife Rosie Heiselman, daughter Cathy Saunders and husband Doug; son Mike Heiselman and wife Jill. Six grandchildren: Aaron, Callie, Tim, John Daniel, Carter and Carson. Five siblings Teresa Heiselman, Marnie Flood, Anna Heiselman, Paul Heiselman, and Jo Ann Winton along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
