Johnnie loved to garden and spend time with her family. She was a strong Christian woman who knew the bible like the back of her hand. She was a hairdresser and then decided that it was to back breaking so she went to school and became a nurse. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by3 daughters; Jennie Thornberry and husband Gary; Kim Bender and husband Marvin both of Amarillo; Jan Smith and husband Nolden of Graham, Texas. 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 2 sisters-in-law. 3 grandchildren Michael Thornberry; Brandon Thornberry; Raquel Adams. 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Sterling Larry Guthrie; grandson Larry Carpenter; granddaughter Keri Nebgen; great grandson Wyatt Nebgen; 7 brothers.
