She was a member of the Amarillo Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Joe & Joyce were married for 39 years, until he passed in December 1990. Joyce met her second husband, Jesse “Ray” Rayford Pope while attending the Jan Werner Adult Day Care Center. We want to give a special thank you to Joyce’s nurse, Jessica. She is a travelling nurse from Georgia that was staffed at BSA to help out with the shortage of staff. Jessica’s care was extraordinary, compassionate and full of love throughout Joyce’s care. From day one they cut-up, they laughed and loved each other through her final hour.
Due to current state and local ordinances, facial coverings (Masks) must be worn at all times while inside the funeral home. Seating is limited and the family will be seated with priority. Should you not want to or cannot wear a facial covering, you will be asked to return to your vehicle and watch the service via livestreaming. Once seating capacity has been reached, those who have not been seated will be asked to view the service via livestream as well.
