Joyce Marie Gatlin

Joyce Gatlin, age 91, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 in Amarillo. She was born in Perryton, Texas on January 6, 1933 to Louis and Lena Boston. Joyce was an artist and enjoyed painting as a hobby, and was very good at it. She lived a long life and stayed busy until her declining health called for her to enter a nursing home, where she lived out her last 3 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne Gatlin, two brothers Jason Boston and Raymond Boston, and nephew Jantz Boston.

She is survived by her friend and helper Ed Edwards and wife Juanita, nephew Mike Boston and wife Beth, great nephew Eddie Boston, great niece DiAnna Boston and her dog Leela all of Amarillo.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell Avenue, Amarillo, TX 79109.
