Karol Lorraine Brooks, age 71, passed peacefully from this life the morning of Sunday, February 17, 2019 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.
Celebration service of her life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Bell Avenue Baptist Church, 5211 Bell Street. Arrangements are by Griggs Schooler Gordon, 5400 S. Bell.
Karol was born June 28, 1947, in Santa Monica, California to Wynne “Jack” and Patricia (Elliott) Williams. She graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1965. Attended college and went on to work at Prudential Insurance. She followed her parents and grandmother to Texas in 1982 to embark in the real estate industry. Achieving retirement from Albertson’s as General Manager and AIG working in Annuities.
Karol embraced everyone she knew making them feel special and apart of the family. She enjoyed watching her daughter Kim and granddaughters in all the years of their sporting events. She loved to travel, gamble, devote her time and advice to family/friends. She lit up the room with her charm, wittiness and smile.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Ruth Clarke, father Wynne “Jack” Williams, mother Patricia Williams and niece Tina Dawson.
Survivors include daughter Kim Daniel, granddaughter Parri and husband Jared Heck, granddaughter Brylee Daniel, great grandchildren Tatum and Tracen Heck and sisters Sharri Luke and Kathy Shure.
