

Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Bivins Nursing Home with Pastor Jeff Messer officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Directors.
Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum.
Katherine Allred was born October 2, 1917 in Cleburne to Byron Blanton and Lily Bell Blanton. She grew up in Cleburne and married William Andrew Kelly in 1941 in San Diego, Ca., during WWII. Katherine moved to Amarillo in 1955 and later remarried Ralph Allred. She was an active member of San Jacinto Methodist Church and served in the United Methodist Women’s group serving with a servant’s heart for many people. She was employed at the Hub Department store for thirty years and was best known in the Boy Scouts uniform department. Katherine was a very generous and loving homemaker to her family always putting their needs above her own. She was an amazing cook and pie baker. Katherine always made a special effort to give of her time and talents to the church and her family. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Andrew Kelly and husband Ralph Allred; a son Bill Kelly and three brothers.
Katherine is survived by her daughter, Janice (Jan) Hollingsworth and husband Bob of Albuquerque, NM.; a sister, Mary Francis Love of San Angelo; a niece Sheila Douglas, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews .
The family will receive guests and friends Monday evening from 6-8-pm at the funeral home.
