

Lamont "Monty" Corwin Francis, 37, of Amarillo died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, in Lubbock.
Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Monsignor Joseph Tash as celebrant.
Monty was born Oct. 3, 1972, in Lafayette, La. He graduated from Denison High School in 1990.
He married Kristi Porter, his high school sweetheart, on May 25, 2003. He was a longtime employee of Maxor Pharmacy, where he worked for 11 years.
He loved Saints football and soccer and playing nerdy games with his friends. He was known for his loving smile and his big, giving heart.
His greatest joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother who will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Kristi Francis; four children, Tyler, Kelly, Corwin and Madison, all of Amarillo; his parents, Kathleen and Moses Moore of Amarillo; his father, Amos Francis of Houston; a sister, Aurelia Moore of Amarillo; two brothers, Shawn Francis and wife Janet of New Jersey and Christopher Mitchell of Corpus Christi; his grandmother, Carol Thomas of Carencro, La.; his grandfather, Mossey Thomas of Lafayette; an aunt, Marcella Green and husband Brian of Simi Valley, Calif.; an uncle, Larry Broussard and wife Ruby of Carencro, La.; his parents-in-law, Harold and Peggy Porter of Denison; two sisters-in-law, Lisa Cobble and husband Mickey and Jennifer Fulenchek and husband Stephen, all of Denison; and numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to a fund set up for Monty's children at any Wells Fargo Bank.
