Funeral Services for Leroy Carroll will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Coulter Road Baptist Church, 4108 S. Coulter, with Aaron Summers presiding. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Leroy was born on May 8, 1930, in Shamrock, OK, to Mac and Martha Carroll. He met the love of his life, Doris Mashburn, in 8th grade at a school dance. They were married on December 22, 1948. They were married fifty-nine years. They had three children.
Leroy served in the United States Army during the Korean War. While in Korea, he was a map maker and truck driver. He received an honorable discharge and continued his career as a truck driver for many decades.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Cindy Groomer-Warner, and his wife Doris Carroll.
He is survived by his children: Sally and husband Gary Mitchell, Guy and wife Sherri Carroll. His grandchildren: Michael and Courtney Mitchell, Jessica and Brian Smith, Jon and Torie Groomer, Greg and DeAnna Carroll, Melissa and Justin Sager. He also had nine great grandchildren: Cooper and Colton Carroll, Elliot Sager, Jonathan Smith, Macie and Allie Groomer, Deagan Klotz-Mitchell, Brynlee and Adaleigh Mitchell.
The family would like to thank the employees, staff, and nurses of the Craig for the excellent care Leroy received. Also, we would like to thank BSA Hospice for the compassionate care and attention given to Leroy and his family while in their care.
