Linda Kinnison

Linda Kirk Kinnison, 83, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on April 4, 2025. She was born Oct 27, 1940 in Amarillo to Durene Duke and W.R. Kirk. The only thing she loved more than God was family. Her deep faith in God and desire to serve her Lord and savior was the foundation of her life. She and her family served briefly as Baptist missionaries in Wyoming. She loved singing in her church choirs and helping others. Her passion was helping others with their taxes thru her bookkeeping and tax service, which she did until her passing. All clients were treated as if they were family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and capturing moments that became lifetime memories with her cameras. Children of family members remember a loving and fun “Aunt Linda” because she ensured they would do fun things like going to movies, swimming, Palo Duro Canyon and Thompson Park. Linda also loved being “Grandma K” to her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Don Kinnison, her mother and father, sister Dorothy Hurt and twin sister Glenda Kirk. She leaves behind sister Peggy Waymire; sons Randy (wife Doretta) and Danny (wife Lisa); grandchildren Chase and Presley Kinnison; and numerous family members and friends. Linda will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

The family would also like to express great thanks to all the wonderful medical professionals that cared for her during the past years and up until her passing.
