Linda Swinney, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, went to be with her Lord on June 20, 2013. Linda could walk into a room and light it up with her big smile and her infectious laugh. She never met a person who didn’t become a friend. Linda was born September 3, 1941, daughter of Fred and Violet Jackson. She met the love of her life, Bill, when she was 15 years old and knew one day she would spend the rest of her life with him. That dream came true. She married Bill Swinney on September 24, 1960. Bill and Linda have been residents of Amarillo since 1976. Bill and Linda spent much of their time attending everyone’s sporting events and cheering them on. Linda’s life was a beautiful example of her love for Christ and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Bill. Sons Jeff and wife Kami, Greg and his fiancée, Tammy Wood.

Grandchildren – Bailey, Ryan, Lauren, Audrey, Will and Jake.
And many beloved nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
