Mable Brown

Mable transitioned from this life the evening of December 2nd, 2023. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family. Mable was born in Clarksville, Texas on September 12, 1931. She relocated to Amarillo, Texas in 1951 after graduating from high school. She later met and married Albert Hollings where one child was born (Syldra Hollings) Mable and Albert divorced, and she moved to San Antonio, Texas where she later met and married Glenn Brown. After Glenn’s death Mable later moved to Wichita, Kansas to be with family and friends.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Addie Owens, her brothers Henry Jr., Oscar, Charlie Lee, Otis, and Richard Sr. and stepson Bruce Brown.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Syldra and one stepson Glenn Brown (Jerry), two brothers, Edward Owens, and Bob Moten Sr. (Detra), three sisters, Margaret Nunley, Gertie Young, and Eva Bruner (J.C.), Sister-in-laws Udell Owens and Delores Owens, and a host of nieces and nephews, and a special friend Sherry Love and members of Chisholm Trail Church of Christ.

A visitation for Mable will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 E., Amarillo, Texas 79118. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum, 6969 I- 40 E, Amarillo, Texas 79118.
