Amy Sisneros, born October 19, 1940, to Jose and Estefana Velasquez, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was raised in South Texas and later made her home in Amarillo, Texas, after moving there in 1973.
Amy married the love of her life, Tony Sisneros, on November 16, 1973. They shared many years together until his passing on December 3, 2021.
She dedicated much of her life to working in retail sales, where she was known for her kindness and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Amy found great joy in traveling and, most importantly, spending time with her family and friends. Her presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her. Amy was a devoted member of Mount of Blessings Seventh-day Adventist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony Sisneros; her son, Christopher Sisneros; one sister; and one brother.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Alicia “DeeDee” Wilson; her grandson, Brandon Greene; and her great-grandchildren, Isaiah Cordero, Edicelda Lopez, and Stephanie Romero. Three nieces and several great-nieces and nephews.
Amy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel Of Memories, 6969 I-40 East, Amarillo, TX 79118, on March 27, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel Of Memories, 6969 I-40 East, Amarillo, TX 79118, on March 27, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
A Graveside Service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 I-40 East, Amarillo, TX 79118, on March 27, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
