Margaret was born on December 13, 1962, in Amherst, Texas, to Luis and Antonia Tijerina. She attended Caprock High School, where she proudly participated in ROTC and gymnastics.On marrying the love of her life, Juan Manuel Vallejo, they shared 43 wonderful years of marriage together. Their greatest joy was raising their three daughters and building a loving family. Margaret lived in Oregon for a time, where she enjoyed fishing, camping, and the beauty of the outdoors. She loved traveling, was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, and enjoyed spending time playing bingo. She had a generous heart and found great fulfillment volunteering with Snack Pak 4 Kids, helping members of the elderly community, and making a difference wherever she could. Above all, Margaret cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, family, and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Juan Manuel Vallejo; her daughters, Anita Cordova and husband Lucas of Amarillo, JoAnn Tijerina of Amarillo, and Annalicia Clements and husband John of Amarillo; seven beloved grandchildren; her brothers, Louis Tijerina of Amarillo and Jerry Tijerina and wife Darlene of Granbury, Texas; and her sister, Becky Murguia and husband Rodolfo of Amarillo.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Antonia Tijerina; her sisters, Brenda Tijerina, Gloria Montelongo, and Diane Tijerina; and her brother, Ralph Tijerina.
Margaret will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, her willingness to help others, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to love her.
