Markeeta Lewis was born on February 26, 1953 to Roy Jess Peek and Mary Maxine Robinson-Peek. She was born in Amarillo, Texas where she resided until 2009 when she moved to Arlington, Texas. She was a full time school bus driver for Special Education students at Mansfield ISD. Markeeta was also a full time Grandmother “Nana” to six grandchildren who she loved so much. She was very active in their lives and took advantage of all their special events. Nana beamed with pride when she saw her first grand baby, McKenzi, take the stage for her first dance recital and would attend her big performance every year. She loved to come support Addison and Liam at their baseball tournaments and Kenadi at her soccer tournaments, which would often last all weekend.
Nana would spend time playing games with Koen and learning the latest and greatest technology from Kreed. She enjoyed attending concerts and visiting wineries with her two daughters Heather and Summer and her oldest granddaughter, McKenzi. You could say that her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Nana also loved to shop and had a fairly intense purse obsession. She loved to show them off and would make sure that you noticed her newest prize.
