

Marnelle was born August 12, 1930, in Pampa, Gray County, Texas, to Pynx (Pinkie) Ledgerwood and Lora Stephens Ledgerwood and she stepped into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 26, 2026.
Marnelle lived a long life filled with love, quiet wisdom, and deep grace. Her memory remains a bright light for all who knew and loved her. She married William (Bill) Presley October 23, 1965, in Etter, Texas. They made their home on Arden Road in Amarillo, Texas, until Bill's death in 2011. In 2012, Marnelle continued her journey in life by relocating to Park Place Towers in Amarillo where she made many cherished friends.
Marnelle and Bill loved to travel and visited almost all 50 states in the U.S. and other continents of the globe including Europe, Asia, and Africa. They truly believed in sharing the gospel with others and made that a practice by making mission trips both at home and abroad. Marnelle and Bill held private pilots' licenses and enjoyed flying together for many years.
Marnelle was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Nina Ledgerwood Gorak, Bill Ledgerwood, Imogene Ledgerwood, and Mary Alice Ledgerwood Burnett. Marnelle's memory will be cherished in the hearts of her survivors including several cousins, nephews, nieces, and countless friends.
