Mary L. Maier passed away June 27, 2018. She was born on August 6, 1936 in Ranger, Texas to Russell and Clara Krapf. She married the love of her life Frank Maier on August 23, 1957. Together they had two daughters Cynthia and Diana. She was a military wife and held the family together while Frank served his country in the United States Air Force through 9 moves and 22 years. Mary attended Northwest Texas nursing school and graduated as a Registered Nurse. Her family was very important to her especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed camping and traveling. She enjoyed crafting anything, sewing costumes and clogging outfits along with crocheting. Mary was a member of Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders. She was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church for many years and South Georgia Baptist Church for the last 15 years. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband Frank, her daughters Cynthia Jensen and husband Shawn of Polk City, Florida, Diana Griffin and husband David of Amarillo. Three sisters Alma Earnest of California; Doris Tate and husband Gene of Washington State; Janice Moore and husband Larry of Amarillo. Six grandchildren Brenda Koehn and husband Michael of Amarillo, Shannon Shelton and wife Jamie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nicki Meza and husband Joseph of Amarillo, Stephanie Shelton of Amarillo, Amanda Hogg and husband Matt of O’Donnell, Texas, Brandon Jensen and wife Terri of Apopka, Florida. Eight great grandchildren along with many other loving family members.
