Mary J. Wolf
August 12, 1932 – September 14, 2020
Mary Juanell Wolf passed away on September 14, 2020, at the age of 88. Mary was born on August 12, 1932 in Childress County, Texas to Luther Wolf and Gertrude Story Wolf. She attended Wellington High School where she was a cheerleader for the Wellington Skyrockets, and graduated in 1949 . While working for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Pampa, Texas, she met and married Tommy Joe Allison.
While they were raising four children, she gained local notoriety as a left-handed "lefty" pitcher in a Skellytown softball league . Mary retired from Amarillo College in 1997. Her family was very important to her. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to country music, gardening, golfing, playing tennis and playing the piano. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan!! She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings and her ex-husband Tommy Joe Allison.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Barry Joe Allison and fiancé Leslie Hardin; Angela Gail Hanson and husband, Charles; Ginny Jacqueline Dallas and husband, Tim; Gary Bart Allison; and sister, Neva Jo Mumford. Grandchildren are Philip Lovelady and wife, Tamara; Tommy Allison and wife, Thelma; Meredith Perdue and husband, Brandon; and Abby Dallas. Great grandchildren are Zoe and Jacob Lovelady; Sophia and Audrey Perdue; and Thomas Allison. The service is pending. In lieu of flowers, donations to a favorite charity would be appreciated.
