Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel with Pastor Phil Borden officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in North Fairview Cemetery in Wellington. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Melba was born May 31, 1936, in Quail to Skeet and Gwenie Lou Pendergrass. Melba’s career was in hotel management in Amarillo. She suffered from dementia the last few years of her life. Melba loved the Lord and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald Lee Nunnelley.
Survivors include three daughters, Tina Nunnelley and husband Butch Bullard, Patricia Woodruff and husband David and Donna Nunnelley; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer’s Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
