Mickel Dean Hodges

Mickel Dean Hodges, 56 of Amarillo passed away November 1, 2012. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeal Home Chapel of Memories with Jim Wilhite of Hillside Christian Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Mickel was born in Amarillo on March 19, 1956 to Teddy and Maxine Hodges. He was raised in Amarillo and Boys Ranch. He married Janet Duncan in 1984. Mickel worked for Americold Logistics for twenty-four years before he retired. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, golfing and riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by a daughter Shelleigh Hodges, son, Kevin Hodges, one brother and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Janet Duncan of Amarillo; two sons, Cameron Duncan and Justin Green both of Amarillo; a neice, Michelle Hodges of Amarillo; two brothers, Teddy Hodges of Amarillo and Eddy Hodges of Germany; four grandchildren, Layla, Erika, Allison and Matthew; and his extended family, Peggy Wilson, Mike and Julie Wilson, Kristina Wilson and Courtney Wilson.
