Mitzi McArthur Blasingame

Mitzi Ann Blasingame, 92 of Amarillo, went to meet Jesus on Monday evening, February 13, 2023. She was born on November 29, 1930, in Amarillo, Texas, to the late Archie Ray “Mack” McArthur and Waurane (Shaw) McArthur. Visitation will be on Friday, February 16, 2023 from 12:00 -1:30 PM at Bell Street Church of Christ 1600 Bell St. Funeral service will be Friday, February 16, 2023 at 2 pm at Bell Street Church of Christ, Amarillo. Burial will be private.

Mitzi grew up in Ady, Texas. She met the love of her life, Rolson Ile “Ross” Blasingame, a good looking cowboy, she met at the train stop, picking up the mail in Tascosa, Texas. They were married June 4, 1948.

Ross and Mitzi began their married life living in Amarillo. They served at Booker church of Christ from their two children Joel and Kim attended school and graduated there. They also served and ministered at Lefors and White Deer. Mitzi was a great cook and had a huge garden that she cherished. She enjoyed teaching Bible class and studying the Bible with other ladies all her life.

She will be greatly missed by her many friends and loving family, son, Joel and wife Darla of Lubbock, daughter Kim and husband Dave Reed; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Mitzi’s memory to Search of the Lord's Way PO Box 371 Edmond, Oklahoma 73083.
