

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home Martin Road Chapel with the Rev. Rick Harrison of Hillcrest Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
Oneda was born Nov. 12, 1931 in Como to Noble and Bessie Florence Turner Bowens. She was raised and educated in Hedley. She married the love of her life, Claude Bruce McCracken, on Dec. 28, 1946, in Memphis. They lived in Hedley for a short while and then moved to Amarillo in 1949. They were blessed with two daughters Linda Paxton and Carron Sanders.
Oneda was a homemaker and a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Amarillo and a member of Ruth Sunday school class. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and more importantly cherished her memories of raising her siblings. Oneda loved the Lord and her family and will be greatly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bessie McCracken; a nephew, Eddie Gene McCracken; and two brothers, Perlie and Alvie Ray Butler.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Claude Bruce McCracken; two daughters, Linda Paxton and husband Joe of Round Rock and Carron Sanders of Amarillo; her siblings, Elnora Corona, Royce Butler and wife Pam, Marie Burchfield and Altie May Condran and husband Terry; four grandchildren, Bryan Paxton and wife Desiree, Corey Paxton and Chad and Marci Sanders; four great-grandchildren, Travis, Kamryn, Sam and Brandon; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews
The family suggests memorials be to Hillcrest Baptist Church.
