Peggy was funny, bossy, loving, kind, sweet, and generous. She was a world traveler, going to places like Peru and Egypt, taking a trip down the Amazon River and just enjoying being with friends or family. She loved to sing and always had a quirky saying for anything and everything. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and best friend to so many. Affectionately known as the “Cat Lady,” Peggy had a special way of bringing laughter and love wherever she went. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Peggy was a member of Anna Street Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to High Plains Children’s Home in her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Vada Lile, and her husband, Joe Sherron.
She is survived by her brothers, Bob Lile and wife Cheryl, and Larry Lile and wife Donna; her daughters, Misty Long and husband Corky, and Melody McKnight; her grandchildren, Erin (Janet) McKnight, Corey Long, and Kelli McKnight; and her great-grandchildren, Addi and Colton Long and Kamryn McKnight.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow.
Peggy leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, memories, and stories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
