Ray Allen Cummins

Ray Allen Cummins was born May 15, 1932 in Kenna NM and died April 15, 2019 in Amarillo. Ray retired from the US Army after serving 20 years. Ray, was known as pappy to his family and friends, he was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the Postal Service after his military career. Pappy was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1475 and a member of the American Legion.

Pappy enjoyed talking to people around the globe on his ham radio, his friends at the VFW Post, and honoring other Veterans by participating in funeral escorts with the VFW Motorcycle Group Unit 6 and the Patriot Guard Riders.

Pappy is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Cummins, wife Betty Cummins, mother Estelline Barrett, sister Betty Bailiff and son Larry Jobe.

He is survived by his sister Johnnie McCorkel, daughter-in-law Deborah Jobe and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
