On Sunday, September 1, 2019, Ray Dean Link loving husband, and father of five children passed away surrounded by family at the age of 80. Ray was born April 14, 1939 in Mutual, Oklahoma to Leslie and Beatrice Link. Growing up in the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles he settled down in Amarillo. On September 14, 1957 he married Hazel Ann Jones.
Ray had several hobbies in his lifetime including dirt track racing, off road motorcycling, camping, fishing and playing cards. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his compassion to help others. Family and friends dropped by for advice or tools was a common occurrence.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Gerald and Ernie Link; grandchild Elizabeth Ashnafi; great grandchild Tanner Ashrafi.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Hazel of Amarillo; children Debra Holladay of Irving; Buddy and wife Leigh of Amarillo; Dena Bryant of Amarillo; Mike and wife Kim Weatherford; George and wife Jackie of Virginia; RhaeAnn Koppelman and husband Bill. Two sisters Linda O’Hara and Mary Lewis; brother Wayne and wife Wilma. 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
