Rick was a good friend that I met at Paramount Terrace Christian Church in the singles department, which he attended at that time. He was shy but he had a heart of Gold. He was kindhearted and he took care of his mother and father the best he could. His mother sewed and made crafts as did my mother, and we all became friends. I did not learn of his passing until after the funeral, as we don't get the paper, but I know that he is with his parents in Heaven enjoying his eternal reward with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.I know I shall see him again. I am proud to have known such a fine man who was good to his parents and to have him as a friend. You will be missed. Till We Meet Again!

Rick Gore was one of the best friends I’ve ever had, and I’d known him since 1967.  Though divided by hundreds of miles when my family relocated to Arkansas in the early 1970’s, Rick and I carried on a vigorous correspondence for almost four decades.  

Rick had keen insights into popular culture, especially when it came to music.  Of course, Rick’s musical tastes were expansive (rock, R&B, pop, country, etc.), his huge record and CD collection boasting such diverse names as Frank Sinatra, Petula Clark, the Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, Elvis Presley, and many others.  

His knowledge of modern music was almost encyclopedic; in addition, he was himself a gifted guitarist.

Rick also had a lively sense of humor, especially when it came to puns.

Sadly, I don’t think Rick might have realized how much he was appreciated by those who knew him.  He was one of the most modest people I’ve ever known.  

I know he touched dozens of lives in a positive way, including mine, and now that he’s gone, the world is all the poorer for his loss.  He will be (and already is) missed.

Thank you, Rick, for being a great friend.  May God grant you peace.

My husband and I did not know Rick. We know Cathy as the friend who has been friend to my dear Aunt. We know Jim as the thoughtful guy who once gave JJ advice on repairing a car when Don was not in town to help her. Looking at the photos of Rick, I think of a thoughtful brother, lovingly selecting images of a cherished family. We hope our condolences will add some small comfort for a family's sudden loss and all those who will feel that piece of their world suddenly empty.

Prayers go out to Richards family from all of us who worked with him at Anderson Merchandisers.  He was a dear friend to many.  Leitha Stoddard

Richard will be miss very much. He was such a great friend. He knew so much and I will never forget who he was. Richard I know you are in a better place than us. I know you are in the arms of our lord.

We are saddened by Rick's untimely passing; we will miss him.  He will be hard to replace.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his many loved ones.
