He was born May 26, 1954, in Amarillo to Billy and Dorothy Bostick.
Ricky retired from Canyon ISD and was the owner and operator of A-1 Pump and Well Service for more than 50 years. He was a devoted member and servant of Osage Baptist Church, where he served as an elder, song leader, and treasurer for more than 20 years. His faith in the Lord was at the center of his life, and he loved sharing that faith and his love with everyone he met. Family was Ricky’s pride and joy. His grandchildren were his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He loved camping, traveling to the Colorado mountains, cooking, and especially BBQing. Ricky was happiest outdoors and was known for his generous heart. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He never met a stranger—everyone he encountered became family, and he left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jean Anne Bostick; sons, Steven Bostick and Juzdify Bostick; daughters, April Maxwell and her husband, Kurt, and Azaryah Bostick; nine grandchildren; his sister, Karen Christian and her husband, Jay; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Bostick, who passed away March 23, 2012, and Dorothy Bostick, who passed away August 20, 2010; his in-laws, Eugene and Dianna Pinkert; and his nephew, Timothy Christian.
Ricky will be deeply missed by his family, church family, and the many people whose lives he touched. His kindness, faith, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Most of all, Ricky loved the Lord, and his greatest joy was sharing that love with others.
