Robert Griffith

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday October 6, 2014 in Trinity Fellowship West Sanctuary Pastor John Love officiatin. Burial will be in memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell Street.

Robert was born January 23, 1936 in Marysville,Missouri. He was raised until a teen in Denver, CO when he then moved to Amarillo. Robert married Carol Ann Griffith March 19, 1954. He and Carol Ann worked side by side in the grocery business in Canyon for 35 years. He was an active member of Trinity Fellowship. Robert married Melba (Chis) Bawcom April 7, 2011 and began a new life in Granbury, TX. He became a member of Stonewater Church of Granbury at that time. Robert loved his family and friends more than life itself. He always took the opportunity to share God’s word with every person he came into contact. He loved to travel and treasured every moment he had with his family all together.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann, a daughter, Caron Griffith-Heisler; a granddaughter, Tara Ruth Griffith; and a grandson, Mitchell David Griffith.

Survivors include his wife Chis Bawcom-Griffith of Granbury, his sons, Bobby Griffith and wife Rita of Lubbock and Matt Griffith and wife Jill of Amarillo; a daughter, Mary Ann Clark and husband Todd of Amarillo, Chis' kids Butch Bawcom and wife Vickie of Granbury, Sheri Collins and husband Tom of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Aaron Heisler and wife Erin Page Heisler of Canyon, Garrett Griffith and wife April, Landry Griffith and wife Kyzandre, and Gentry Griffith and wife Nichole, all of Lubbock, Logan and Connor Clark, Zack Griffith, Taylor Thomas, Ty Thomas and Trey Thomas, all of Amarillo, Tye Bawcom and wife Brittany of Beaumont, and Logan Bawcom of Dallas, Boomer and Bridget Collins of Waxahachie; great-grandchildren Keegan Wren-Griffith, Reagan Ashley-Griffith, Riley Griffith, and Foster Griffith, all of Lubbock, Lilly and Tylee Heisler of Canyon, and Brynlee Bawcom of Beaumont.
