Robert "Jiggs" Hillman

Robert L. "Jiggs" Hillman, 83 of Amarillo passed away December 2, 2012. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe of Borger officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Borger by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell. Jiggs was born December 25, 1928 in Turkey to Marion "Brad" and Lola Jewel Hillman. As a young man Jiggs loved racing cars and motorcycles. He loved anything there was to do with cars. He married Norma Francis on December 27, 1999. Jiggs worked as a supervisor for Zachry Construction Corporation for many years and helped build the dam at Lake Meredith. He was such a hard working man and was a perfectionist. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be deeply missed. Jiggs was preceded in death by his parents; brother, C.O. "Curtis" Hillman and sisters, Billie Ruth Turner and Evelyn Isham. Jiggs is survived by his wife, Norma Hillman of Amarillo; his daughter, Teresa Lynn Harte of Everett, Washington; grandson, Sean William Hillman of Washington; sister, Maxine Roy of Amarillo and brother, Royce Hillman of Arlington.
