Rodolfo “Rudy” Telles, 67, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011.
Vigil service will be at 6 p.m. today at Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Moses Robles officiating. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
Mr. Telles was born April 19, 1944, in Rio Grande City to Nicholas and Geneva Telles. Rudy was employed with Soliz Trucking and loved the Houston Texans. He was a member of St. Martin Church as well as an avid mechanic. Rudy loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rudy always had a smile and a big heart.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a great-granddaughter, Lola Neveah “Faith” Grisaffi.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Telles; four daughters, Beatrice Mata and husband Henry, Dorothy Valenzuela and Alice Leon, all of Amarillo, and Teresa Salsido and husband Jesus of El Paso; a son, Rocky Telles and wife Gabrielle of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Severo Telles and Alex Telles, both of Amarillo; and a sister, Rosa Gonzalez of Dallas.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
