

On June 27th, 2025, Ronald Lee Keenom, passed away. He was born on May 29th, 1955, in Floyd Knobs, IN. His family moved to Amarillo in 1962, where he graduated from Caprock High in 1974. Ronald worked alongside his father until his passing in 1986, at H.L. Asphalt and Paving as well as other jobs in the same field. He was a haul truck driver, two truck driver, as well as a self-taught mechanic. Ronald was many things, he had a gift for tinkering and could fix just about anything.
One of the things he loved working on the most were cars, he is probably most known for his Yellow 1969 SS Camaro. He was a simple man who was very resourceful and a Jack of all Trades. He also enjoyed old westerns particularly John Wayne, as well as classic Rock.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents H.L. (Red) and Wilma Keenom and an older sister Ruth Ann Fritts.
He is survived by two daughter Tisha Jaramillo and Tonya Burrows of Albuquerque, NM, two grandson Aithen Burrows and Malik Keenom of Albuquerque, one granddaughter Amber Burrows of Orange City, Tx and one great-granddaughter, Genesis Astorga of Orange City. One sister Sandy Hadley of Amarillo and best friend, (might as well have been brothers) Mike DeLaho of Amarillo.
Ronald's ashes were interred with his with parents on June 18th,2025.
