Ruth Carolyn Daniels Arney

Ruth Carolyn Daniels Arney, 89 of Amarillo died Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Services will be at 2:00 pm Friday April 12, 2013 in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Pioneer Chapel wit Dr. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell, Amarillo, TX

Mrs. Arney was born September 2, 1923 in Ada, OK to Charlie and Alice Daniels. She graduated from Blue High School in Blue, OK. Mrs. Arney married Clint L. Arney on June 17, 1944 in Colbert, OK. He preceded her in death in 2005. Together they moved to Amarillo and lived there ever since. She worked for the Amarillo Independent School District for almost two decades and was a member of Bible Baptist Temple. Ruth was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include four children, Clinton Arney and wife Kay, Nancy Bowles, Dennis Arney and wife Donna and Randy Arney and wife Glenda; a brother: Lester Daniels and wife Virginia; ten grandchildren, Larry Arney, Steve Arney, Shannah Heymer, Terry Bowles, Debbie Tuey, Chris Bowles, Kela Arney, Sam Wisdom, Bryan Arney, and Clinton James “C.J.” Arney.
