Ruth was born January 16, 1930 in Portales, New Mexico to Jack and Vinita Kinsey. She grew up in Clovis where she attended high school; moving to Amarillo in 1950. In 1958 Ruth married Walter Elton Cooper, who was an engineer for Santa Fe Railroad, only after having him agree to sell his motorcycle. She was a charter member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary. Ruth loved music and to dance but above all she loved being at home with her family and her grandkids. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother and she will be truly missed.
