Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Memorial Park East Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Directors, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Sammy Dan Roe was born Dec. 27, 1938. He was the oldest of three kids born to Samuel “Pete” Roe and Inez Roe in the small town of Dougherty. He grew up with a love of motorcycles and fast cars. After his graduation from Floydada High School, he joined the Navy, where he was stationed aboard the USS Bennington during the Vietnam Conflict. In 1965, he married Neva Kay Roe. They were married 37 wonderful years until her passing in 2002. On Friday, Aug. 5 2016, Samuel Roe lost his bout with cancer
Survivors include three kids, six grandkids, four great-grandkids and an adoptive son, Jason Ochoa.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
