Stacie was born on June 17, 1967 in Lubbock, Texas to Joe Lynn and Jacquelyn “Jackie” (Ellis) McClenny. Before her second birthday, Stacie became critically ill with a massive infection that attacked her hearing and nervous system. Stacie worked diligently all of her life to overcome the resulting challenges. She earned her Associates Degree from Amarillo College, and concluded her education by earning her Bachelor’s Degree from West Texas A&M University in Canyon. Stacie was an outstanding Substitute Teacher for Special Education classes all over the Amarillo area.
Stacie was generous and loving. She helped care for her grandmother and father during their battles with cancer, heart problems, and rheumatoid arthritis issues. More recently, she cared for her mother and foster sister. Stacie was a charter member of Westview Christian Church, having been baptized by Charles Waugh before Westview constructed their first building.
Stacie was preceded in death by her father J. Lynn McClenny, Uncle Don McClenny, and Grandmother Arlis Ellis. Those left to cherish her memories are her mother Jacquelyn McClenny, foster sister Laura Cole, Aunt Myrna McClenny; and her cherished friends Jeanne Johnson, and the leadership and congregation of Cowboy Church Amarillo at The Craig Retirement Center.
