On November 21, 1970, Stanley married the love of his life, Roxie. Together they built a life centered on family, faithfulness, and a shared passion for genealogy. Stanley was deeply devoted to tracing his family’s roots. He and Roxie traveled far and wide visiting cemeteries of past relatives, carefully documenting family histories and even restoring old family headstones to preserve their legacy for generations to come. Their journeys were a true labor of love. In his younger years, Stanley had a need for speed. Beginning in the 1960s, he built his own race cars and spent many years racing at the local dirt track, continuing the sport he loved into the early 1990s. His determination, mechanical skill, and competitive spirit were evident both on and off the track. Stanley was a quiet man, but when he spoke, his words carried weight. Those who knew him understood that if he had something to say, it was worth listening to. He worked for more than 25 years at Asarco before retiring, providing faithfully for his family through his strong work ethic and steady dedication.
He is survived by his son, Robert Hendrix and wife Robin; his daughter, Brandy Savidge and husband Dean; his brother, Ricky Broyles and wife Sherri; his nephews, Danny and Derick Broyles; and his grandchildren, Stormie Savidge, Willow Savidge, Robin Boyer, and Terry Joseph Cagle.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Roxie Broyles; his sister, Peggy Broyles; and his parents, Columbus Dale and Francis Broyles.
Stanley will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for family, and his unwavering commitment to preserving the stories of those who came before him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the history he so carefully safeguarded.
