She was born in Pampa, Texas July 7, 1982 to David Farrar and Cynthia Thomas. Education was a passion for Talitha. She graduated high school from New Covenant Ministries in 1998, graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science from Amarillo College and studied Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Dallas. Most recently she was an Associate Research Scientist for UT Southwest Medical Center and an Autopsy Assistant for the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
She was a teacher and mentor with the Stars Program at UT Southwest, specializing in brain pathology and physiology. She co-authored published papers regarding Alzheimer’s disease and Shaken Baby Syndrome. She was also involved with Kairos Outside, Karen’s Kids Voice Studio.
Talitha is preceded in death by Grandpa, Mack Thomas, Grandpa, Melvin Farrar, Grandma Faye Farrar and a cousin Chris Brawley.
She is survived by her parents, Cynthia Thomas and David Farrar; Grandmother Sharon Thomas; Uncles, Steve Andrew (Melissa) of Harriman, TN, Donald Thomas (Billie) of Maryville, TN, Ricky Thomas (Sylvia) of Amarillo, TX, Donald Farrar of Pampa, TX, Danny Farrar (Lori) of Cole, AR; many close cousins, great aunts and great uncles. She is also survived by close childhood friends, Jennifer Lay, Sarah Eyre, James Smith, Shay Baucom and Josh Kaufman along with many other close friends.
