Teena Marie Porter of Amarillo passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Her passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of service, kindness, and devotion will continue to live through the many lives she touched.
Born in Hermiston, Oregon, Teena was a woman of remarkable strength, determination, and compassion. She proudly served her country in the United States Navy for a total of 19 years and 4 months. Her dedication to service was matched only by her dedication to her family. When her children were young, Teena made the selfless decision to leave military service so she could devote herself fully to raising them. Being a mother was one of her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments. Once her children had graduated and begun their own journeys in life, she returned to the Navy, continuing her commitment to serving her country with honor and pride.
Teena had a gift for making people feel loved and valued. She was the person family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers could count on when they needed help, encouragement, or simply someone to listen. Her caring nature, generous spirit, and unwavering willingness to put others before herself defined the way she lived her life. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand and often placed the needs of others above her own. Her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone, fortunate enough to know her.
While Teena accomplished much throughout her life, nothing brought her greater happiness than her family. She treasured every moment spent with her daughters and grandchildren, celebrating their achievements, supporting them through challenges, and creating countless cherished memories. Her love was unconditional, and her family always knew they could depend on her guidance, wisdom, and steadfast support.
Teena also enjoyed gathering with friends for games of Bunco, where her laughter, competitive spirit, and warm personality made her a favorite companion. Teena took great pleasure in traveling the world, at every opportunity she had. The friendships she built throughout her life were a testament to her genuine and caring nature.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Judith Ann Adair.
Left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Amanda Baldwin and husband Curtis, and Brittani Friesen; her treasured grandchildren, Makenna, Maddux, Milani, Bowen, and Bristol; brother Brian Riley and family; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who will forever remember her love, generosity, and friendship.
Though she is no longer with us, Teena's legacy lives in the values she instilled, the lives she touched, and the family she loved so deeply. She will be remembered for her strength, selflessness, loyalty, and the boundless love she shared with those around her. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.
A celebration of Teena’s Life will be held on her birthday, July 11th, this year. More details will be announced. If you have any questions reach out to her girls! In honor of Teena's life, family and friends are encouraged to remember her through acts of kindness and service to others, reflecting the generous spirit by which she lived every day.
