Theresa Evans, 88, of Amarillo died Monday, May 20, 2013. Rosary will be said at 5:45 p.m. today in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel with vigil services to follow at 6 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary’s Cathedral with Monsignor Harold Waldow as celebrant. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Theresa was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Long Beach, Calif. Anyone who knew Theresa loved her fun-loving and exuberant personality. She was a lovely woman who was deeply loved by her friends and family. We will miss her genuine and adorable demeanor as well as her smiling face until we meet again in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Julian Evans. Survivors include her son, Michael Honey and wife Gwen of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Julie Grenier and husband Raymond of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Danielle Grenier of Amarillo.
