Ty Ray Gresham, 51, died unexpectedly January 21, 2022, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. He was Born February 10, 1970 in Clovis, New Mexico, the son of Anthony (Tony) Gresham and Patsy (Boggs) Gresham.
Ty graduated from Tucumcari High School in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He then attended Clarendon College in Clarendon, TX, receiving his Associates Degree. He continued his education and completed his Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Agricultural Education at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. He married Stacy Akes in 2002 and together they raised three daughters and one son.
Ty was an active member of 4-H and FFA during High School and College and received numerous judging and livestock exhibition awards during his involvement in these two organizations. He played football for the Tucumcari Rattlers and loved to Team Rope. He embraced his Family's western heritage and loved the "Cowboy" way of life as evidenced by his unique, funny and inspiring Western Cartoon Caricatures.
Ty was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Surviving him, in addition to his wife, Stacy of the home in Canyon, are three daughters: Fharren Welch, Taylor Gresham and Shelbi Gresham of Amarillo, TX. Also surviving is one son, Tyson Gresham, of Canyon, TX and two grandchildren, Ryder and Raegan, of Canyon, TX. Ty is also survived by his Father, Tony Gresham and his Mother, Patsy Gresham, of Tucumcari, NM as well as a sister, Tyra Gresham, and a niece Kali Gresham of Amarillo, TX; various aunts, uncles and cousins, including Uncle Roy and Aunt Lynda Lovett of Claude, TX.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a viewing to be held at Memorial Park, from 5:00¬
7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
A memorial service in celebration ofTy's life will be held at 1:00 pm CDT Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Crossroads Country Church, 14425 FM Rd. 1541 ( South Washington St.) Amarillo, TX. Those who wish to remember Ty in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Working Ranch Cowboy Association's Crisis Fund at WRCA.com.
