Vera M. Elliott

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 East I-40 with Pastor Ronnie Woodward officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.

Vera was born August 25, 1913 in Wichita Falls to John and Bettie Moore. She married E.L. Elliott in 1934 and moved to Amarillo in 1941. Vera was employed by Northwest Texas Hospital and by AISD. Vera was active with First Assembly during that time then moved her membership to Family Worship Center. She enjoyed crochet, games, cards and bingo. Vera loved her God and her family. She was very inspiring, loving, kind, gentle and will be missed deeply.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E.L. Elliott; and 5 brothers

Vera is survived by her son, Darrell Elliott and wife Janet of Grand Prairie; 2 daughters, Wanda Rinehart of Fairfield, CA and Joyce Smallwood and husband Norman of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 13 great great- grandchildren

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, February 20, 2014, at the funeral home from 5-6:30pm
