

Vicky Sue Pollard of Amarillo, Tx. went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 11, 2022 at the age of 78. Vicky was born on September 23, 1943 in Vernon, Texas to S.B. and Gertrude Farrar. She was raised in Thalia, Tx. and graduated from Crowell High School in 1962.
After moving to Amarillo, she married Patrick Pollard on February 14, 1997. After living a short time in Amarillo and working at Pantex as a clerk for several years, the couple moved to Ruidoso, NM to enjoy the cool, scenic mountains. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at hospitals and a member of the Red Hat Society. In 2006, they returned to Amarillo to be closer to family and friends.
Vicky embodied living life to the fullest. She enjoyed family, sewing, hiking, painting, ceramics, shopping and was never afraid to adventure into new careers or opportunities. She loved her dogs (Suzy, Maggie, and Amy) and pampered them for many years. She was a member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ. She always knew how to keep her family and friends on their toes with her wit, strength, and direct way of communication.
She left behind her beloved husband of 25 years, Patrick Pollard and her two sisters – Corky Davis of Branson, MO, and Pam Wilhelm of Mart Tx. She was met in a joyous reunion in heaven with 2 other sisters, Laverne Poynor and Cleatrice Farrar.
She is survived by a daughter, Carrie Caton (Sellers) and her husband Crit Caton of Artesia, NM and son Mark Sellers of Amarillo. She had two-step daughters Eileen Pollard Leek and husband Joe Leek of Mason, Ohio and Deanna Pollard Sowers and her husband Mark Sowers of Canyon, Tx. Vicky also leaves behind four grandchildren, Kirstin Wachter (husband Robert) and Koby Caton (wife Faith) both of Artesia, NM and Joey and Ansley Leek of Mason, Ohio. She had 2 great grandchildren, Kritley Wachter and Kaylynn Caton both of Artesia, NM. as well as multiple extended family and friends.
