She moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1978 with her family and went to work for IBP and Affiliated Foods. She was very low key, but loved just being around family and friends. Virginia enjoyed many hobbies, loved interior decorating, sewing, making her own swags and curtains. Enjoyed cooking, always having family and friends over to eat. Gardening was her relaxation after retirement, she took on all the yard work, mowing, trimming hedges and everything that made her yard perfect. The biggest joy of all was shopping with her grandchildren and discovering all the many different fast food places they could find.
