

Virginia Evelyn Moore Glasco, 95 of Amarillo passed away May 27, 2012. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories with Rev. W. Douglas Mills of Trinity Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home. Virginia was born February 3, 1917 in Wichita, Kansas. She married Kenneth Glasco in 1936 in Wichita, Kansas and moved to Amarillo in 1944. Virginia was a long time member of Trinity Methodist Church. She worked as the head of the lingerie department at Colbert’s Department Store until her retirement. Virginia enjoyed square dancing, sewing and painting. She also enjoyed traveling and fishing as she and Kenneth spent many summers in their RV at Southfork, Colorado with friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Glasco in 1999; brother, Kenny Moore and sister, Ruby Moore. Virginia is survived by her sons, Gary Glasco of Ft. Mohave, Arizona and Duane Glasco and wife Mary Lou of Amarillo; brother, Milton Moore of Derby, Kansas; sister, Dee Fishburn of Amarillo; grandchildren, Joni Solano of Amarillo, David Thompson of Henderson, Nevada, Dr. Ken Glasco of Mt. Isa, Queensland Australia, Karmi Seton of Grants Pass, Oregon and Chad Glasco of Amarillo; 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.
