Virginia was born March 17, 1919 in Turkey, Texas to Robert and Mary Lou Beeson. She was one of thirteen children. Virginia’s family was the only family that had a piano, so Bob Wills would come by their house and pick up the piano to play for the Saturday night dance and he’d return it on Sunday. She and her husband owned and operated Circle Grocery from 1948 to 1952. Their store was located in the country near Olton, Texas. Later in life Virginia worked for Natural Gas Pipeline, Co. as a chart reader until she retired. For years she enjoyed going to the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association and Line Dancing. Virginia’s other hobbies included crossword puzzles, crocheting and other games.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and also by 10 siblings.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Robison and wife Johnny of Breckenridge, Texas; daughters, Annette Clark of Dalhart, Rita Walker and husband Jay of Anchorage, Alaska and Cindy Waters of Amarillo; her sisters, Wilma Covington of Olton and Betty Wynn of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Earl Clark and wife Rosie, Traci Yanke, John Clark and wife Joyce, April Smith, Jay Brent and wife Peggy, Andy Robison and wide Sarah, Terry Robison and wife Tonya, Ben Jenkins and wife Nicona and Jennifer Chase and husband Dustin; also by 21 great-grandchildren.
