Wanda Beth Cordova passed away June 13 in Amarillo at the age of 80. She was born in Wellington to Mr. Haskell Graham and Elizabeth Fisher Jordan and was the second of three children. Mary E. Lester of Amarillo and Dr. Daniel Jordan of Lafayette, LA who is the only surviving family.
Wanda Jordan was married to Joseph R. Cordova in 1956 until his death in 1991. Together they had three children, Sherrill A.C. Wallace, Bryan L. Cordova and Barry G. Cordova all of Amarillo. She was an Air Force wife until his retirement in 1973 at Carswell AFB in Ft Worth and later the Postal Service in Amarillo.
She later got remarried to Ed Stephens of Amarillo until his death in 2017. Together she was step mother to Chris A. Stephens and his wife Mary Ann Stephens of Amarillo. Their children include John, David and Rachel of Amarillo.
She is also survived by five grandchildren Jordan L. Cordova of Amarillo, Joseph M. Cordova of Grapevine, Caitlin M. Cordova of Amarillo, Meagan Cordova Whitaker of Denton and Lauren L. Cordova of Amarillo. Great grandchildren include Anakin M. Price of Amarillo and Jack Wallace Whitaker of Denton.
Our loss is immeasurable without our sweet nana and mom.
