Mrs. Rhoades was born June 17, 1924 in Amarillo to Lester Lee and Myrtle Wilkinson Byrd. She attended Dumas High School, Amarillo Business College and West Texas State Teachers College.
Wilena was an Administrative Assistant and Accountant in petroleum related industries for 45 years. She was a past president of the Desk & Derrick Club, And past state president of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She spent many hours of Volunteer services for the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center and for AARP as a Tax Aide and driver safety instructor. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Wayne D. Muncy and her second husband Cecil H. Rhoades.
Survivors include one brother; Robert L. Byrd of Richardson, TX
