William Tuey

He was born December 27, 1947 in Morenci, Az. to James and Ruby Tuey, being the 9th child of 11 children.

William graduated from South Mountain High School in Phoenix, Az. he later enlisted into the U.S Army, graduating from Air-Born School. He served in the Vietnam First Cav. Division, being awarded Distinguished Service Cross, and Gallantry Cross of Vietnam. William served in Law Enforcement in Arizona and Texas as a K9 Officer and a Chief of Police in Memphis, Texas. He retired from law enforcement at Williams P.D. in Arizona.

William is survived by his son; Danny Tuey of Amarillo, Tx. Daughters; Michelle Senne of Maricopa, Az. Crystal Taylor of Amarillo, Tx. Rose Patterson of Amarillo, Tx. brother; Dennis Tuey of Tucson, Az. sisters; Margie Wright, Norma Wollbert, and Ama Ruth Elms, 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Ilene Tuey,his son; Adam Tuey, his brothers; David Tuey, Hershel Tuey, James Tuey, Robert Tuey, and Paul Tuey, parents; Dudley and Ruby Tuey and his sister; Pat Ellis.

In lieu of flowers family has asked to donate to; Amarillo Children’s Home and Disabled American Veterans of Amarillo.

William will be missed by both family and friends.
