Bernardo P. Romero, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2026, at the age of 93, in Cypress, California, where he resided for nearly 62 years.
Bernardo was born on May 20, 1932, in Bakersfield, California, to Inez Romero and Guadalupe Romero Pantoja. He was a devoted and loving husband to Loretta O. Romero, whom he met at a bonfire at San Pedro Beach. Together, they shared 69½ wonderful years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, faith, and family.
Bernardo and Loretta were blessed with five children: their son, Benjamin Romero, and four daughters, Monica Romero, Gloria Alldredge, Olivia Sammels, and Isabel Evans. Bernardo was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 21 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

A responsible, strong, and brave man of faith, Bernardo was a devoted provider who worked tirelessly to ensure his family was cared for—especially making sure his beloved wife always had everything she needed.
